I just watched this and it absolutely stunning and everything I expected it to be. Somehow, it still kind of—not exactly blew my mind, but rather crushed my soul?
I’m not sure how to explain it, but it was perfectly beautiful and morbid. The film tells you exactly where it’s going from the start and gently carries you there. Though it unravels kind of slowly and carefully, it still had the ability to put me into a mild panic.
tl;dr: Check out Melancholia if you like pretty, weird, or sad stuff.
